Rizq Naherta reclaimt de Southeast Asian bootleg shop en transformeert die op de Sint-Paulusplaats tot een platform voor de herverdeling van queer kennisproductie. Hun installatie fungeert als een winkel die (voornamelijk Zuidoost-Aziatische) queer bootleg-films redistribueert én als een fysiek archief. Je kan een film inwisselen tegen fysiek geld of tegen een queer verhaal dat verband houdt met de geselecteerde film, of je kan gewoon grasduinen in deze unieke verzameling of gesprekken voeren over film. Zo onstaat een plek die wij als queer festival zeer waarderen: een plaats waar mensen elkaar kunnen ontmoeten en die uitnodigt tot verbinding.

Rizq Naherta reclaims the Southeast Asian bootleg shop and transforms it on Sint-Paulusplein into a platform for the redistribution of queer knowledge production. Their installation functions as a store that redistributes (mainly Southeast Asian) queer bootleg films as well as a physical archive. You can exchange a film for physical cash or for a queer story related to the selected film, or you can simply browse this unique collection or have conversations about film. This creates a place that we as a queer festival value highly: a place where people can meet and that invites connection.

Maya Wuytack - Whispered Mosaic Poetry Ritual

In 2023 verwelkomden we Parisa Madani, die ons toonde: rest is resistance. In de workshop van dit jaar, een immersief poëzieritueel, richten we ons op het lichaam en het voeden ervan. Dichter en theatermaker Maya Wuytack neemt ons mee in een wereld tussen het voelende en het dromende lichaam. We worden 'insiders' in het levende landschap van verbeelding en woorden. We betreden een collectieve score van bezielde gebaren, subtiele bewegingen en gefluister. Poëzie weerklinkt in ervaringen van nabijheid met onszelf, elkaar en de natuur. Samen worden we een collectief gedicht.

In 2023, we welcomed Parisa Madani, who showed us that rest is resistance. In this year's workshop, an immersive poetry ritual, we further build on practices that focus on the body and the nurturing of it. Poet and playwright Maya Wuytack takes us into a world between the sensing and the dreaming body. We become "insiders" in the living landscape of imagination and words. We enter a collective score of soulful gestures, subtle movements and whispers. Poetry echoes in experiences of closeness with ourselves, each other and nature. We become a collective poem.
